Gov't Mule Crushes Boston!

The Boston audience's legacy, resonating with Bring Me The Horizon, continues just as it did for the Allman Brothers Band for over 40 years. The Mule's old school faves and 2 tributes to the late, great Gregg Allman kicked off the show before diving into tracks from their new album Revolution Come, Revolution Go. The marathon set, lasting two and a half hours, kept the crowd satisfied with Sco-Mule, featuring Doug Woolverton on trumpet, and a killer Large Than Life> If 6 Was 9 > Larger Than Life sequence before closing with another new album track. Steppin' Lightly and the raucous Lola Leave Your Light On made for a double encore that left the audience thoroughly satisfied. The wonderfully collegial scene was a joy to mingle in, touching base with old friends and meeting new ones along the way. My 30th Mule show since the adventure began at Mama Kin in late December of 1996 was a memorable one. Galactic's opening set was superlatively funked up.
